The Opteron is a Processeur resulting from the range AMD64 of the processors 64 bits of the mark AMD. Opteron proposes integrated controllers, memory and HyperTransport.
The processors are numbered by three digits:
Certain models mono processor are with the format of the
Socket 939:
- Simple heart " Venus" : 144,146,148,148HE, 150,152 and 154
- Dual-core " Denmark" : 165,170,175,180,185
The others all are with the format of the
Socket 940 requiring RAM GDR Registered.
Dual core:
- x65: 1.8 Ghz
- x70 : 2.0 Ghz
- x75 : 2.2 Ghz
- x80 : 2.4 Ghz
- x85 : 2.6 Ghz
Simple core:
- x40: 1.4 GHz
- x42 : 1.6 GHz
- x44 : 1.8 GHz
- x46 : 2.0 GHz
- x48 : 2.2 GHz
- x50 : 2.4 GHz
- x52 : 2.6 GHz
- x54 : 2.8 GHz
- x56 : 3.0 Ghz
Option " Low Power" : EE=Energy Efficiency and HE=High Efficiency:
- x40 EE : 1.4 Ghz, TDP 30W
- x46 HE: 2.0 Ghz, TDP 55W
- x48 HE: 2.2 Ghz, TDP 55W
Socket F
Since the 8/1/2006, new the
Opteron is on the socket F and AM2.
They are indicated by 4 digits: - the first designates the family of the processor:
- 1000 : intended to replace Opteron 100 (socket AM2)
- 2000: intended for the platforms bi-processors (socket F)
- 8000: intended for the platforms quadri or eight-processor (socket F).
- the following figure indicates the
generation processor: And the last two figures, the frequency per even number: - x210, x212x x214…
- the models goes from x210 to x220, that is to say 1,8 GHz with 2,8 GHz.
