Operational center in information system security

Membership

The Operational center in information system security (or COSSI ) is a French service of the Central management of the information system security (DCSSI) depend on the General secretary of national defense (SGDN).

Missions

It has the roles of ensuring a permanent day before (24h/24 7j/7) in the field of the Information system security for all the organizations of French State as well as the coordination of different the plan from crisis (Piranet) in the event of attack on the information systems from the State.

To carry out its missions the COSSI is composed of two entities:

  • the governmental Center of expertise of answer and treatment of computer attacks (CERTA), ensuring an technical expertise;
  • the center of permanent day before of control and synthesis (CEVECS).
