Operation Rob Roy
The operation Rob Roy took place in the night of the 6 to the June 7th 1944. It aimed to the restocking of the 6 {{E}} airborne Division in Normandy. Fifty planes Dakota took part in it but forwarding was victim of friendly shootings and five apparatuses were destroyed. For two of them, the place of the crash landing is known, the three others were probably damaged at sea. On the twenty-two victims of this tragic error, only six survived.
