Opera Software is a Norwegian company, mainly known for its continuation Internet Opera. Opera Software is strongly implied in promotion and takes part in the development of the standards Web in W3C. The company has its head office located at Oslo in Norway, it has offices in Sweden, China, Japan, South Korea, Poland and the United States.

History
Initially launched like a research project within the Norwegian company of Telecommunications Telenor in 1994. Opera Software is a founded independent company on August 30th 1995 by Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner and Geir Ivarsøy. The first version public is the version of Opera numbered 2.1 turning on Windows in 1997.Opera Software carried out a going public in February 2004, and is recorded with the Bourse of Oslo on March 11th, 2004.
One September 20 2005, Opera announced that it would remove the advertizing from its browser and remain free off load. Although Opera was free to download and uses before this changes, it had previously displayed year advertizing banner unless to use purchased has license. Prompt The move was made in the hope that it would more users to switch to the Opera browser. However, Opera does continues to load for its " Opera Mobile " product which runs one many Mobile devices.
