Open of Australia (golf)

The Open of Australia is one of the principal tournaments of Golf of PGA Tour off Australasia. It is held each year since 1904 in November. It is one of the national opens which is taken into account in the system of the official classification of the professional international golf.

The winner of the tournament receives the Coupe Kirkwood (name in reference of Joe Kirkwood, Sr. which made it possible the tournament to have a recognition international in 1920). Although the reward is less compared to the great tournaments of golf, there remains a traditional tournament and appreciates by the best golfeurs of the world.
