OpenVPN
OpenVPN is a Free software making it possible to create a virtual private Network (VPN). He was written by James Yonan.
Introduction
OpenVPN allows even to authenticate between them using a private key divided in advance, certificates or couples of names of user/password. It uses in an intensive way the library of authentification OpenSSL as well as the protocol SSLv3/TLSv1. Available under Solaris, Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Mac OS X, Windows 2000 and XP, it offers also many functions of safety and control.
OpenVPN is not a VPN " based on the Web " and is thus not compatible with IPsec or other software VPN. The entire package contains a binary for connections of the customer and the waiter, an optional file of configuration and one or more keys according to the method of selected authentification.
