OpenPGP

OpenPGP is a standard of cryptography of IETF, standardized in the RFC 2440.

This standard describes the format of the messages, signatures or keys which can be sent of the programs like GnuPG. It is thus not a program, but a recommendation for the protected exchange of data, which owes its name with the historical program PGP.
