OpenGL extension wrangler library
GLEW ( Open' GL' E xtension W rangler library ) is a utility library of OpenGL allowing a simple management of the OpenGL extensions. It is a free library Multiplate-form written out of C.
GLEW brings a solution to the complexity of the management of the extensions of OpenGL. With the execution, it detects the extensions supported by the machine host and initializes the functions associated with these extensions.
GLEW is developed by Milan Ikits and Marcelo Magallon. It derives from project EXTGL of Lev Povalahev, whose development is stopped today. The source code is available under several licenses: BSD , SGI Free Software License B , and Public GLX License . Scripts of automatic generation of code are them, under license LPG.
