OpenAguila

OpenAguila is a Free software of management of company. It belongs to the category of the PGI (Integrated Business package), which one often finds under the Anglo-Saxon denomination ERP.

History

The first ideas of realization of OpenAguila were thrown on paper in July 1995. The software was conceived by Jean-Michel GEOFFROY of company GEIDAC (for the functional aspect) and by Marc SCHNEIDER of the company SFWan (for the technical side). The development really started in October 1999. The first versions were born in 2001 and it is used in production since 2003. OpenAguila passed in free software in the month of May 2006.

Description

OpenAguila is addressed rather to TPE/SME. There does not remain about it less very complete since he makes it possible to manage the activity of a company: management of the client relationship, purchases (provisioning, orders supplier, stocks), businesses (estimate, invoices), interventions (preparation/planning, follow-up), instrument panels, management of the collaborators and divided diary.

The approach of the software is rather singular. One finds (in particular in the module of the Businesses) the principle of the standard ISO, namely that one proceeds by stage, the passage to following being done by validation.

In a basic use (customers, estimate, invoices), OpenAguila is simple to apprehend. On the other hand as from the moment when one uses the module of the provisioning/stocks, the ticket of entry is higher, because the dependences and repercussions are numerous.

OpenAguila is accessible via a simple navigator, which remotely makes its use easy and independent of the Operating system present on the work station. Side waiter, the Tomcat application as of the PostgreSQL database must be present. The Operating system can be Linux or Windows.
