The Opel Astra F (Opel Astra A) was launched in July 1991 and was restylée at the end of the summer 1994. The production was stopped at the beginning of 1998 with the arrival of the Opel Astra G.

Name " F" is here to underline the succession of the Opel Kadett which was produced during 61 years.

Range

Astra F was built under 5 different body:

• 3 doors 2 volumes
• 5 doors 2 volumes
• 5 doors station-wagon
• 4 doors 3 volumes
• 2 doors convertible

Astra F had a baptized sporting version GSI (see Opel Astra GSI) in lined of Opel Kadett. Existing into 3 or 5 doors, it was animated by the engines 1.8L and 2.0L atmospheric gasoline. The turbo 2.0L when it has existed only in South Africa under name 200TS .
