Opchanacanough
Opechancanough or Opchanacanough was the chief of the Confederation Powhatan of what constitutes now the state of Virginia to the the United States. He became chief after the death of his older brother Wahunsunacock.
From the massacre of the Indians of 1622, it off gave up the diplomacy with the English colonists of the Colony and Dominion Virginia and tried to force them to at that time leave the area like in 1644.
The forces of the governor of Virginia William Berkeley captured Opchanacanough in 1646, and he died killed by a soldier assigned with his guard.
