Ooty
Ooty : This health resort with 2250m of altitude was founded at the beginning of the XIXe century to accommodate the government of Madras which wanted to take the expenses in summer. Previously, this area was only inhabited by the Todas, tribal people rather strange, dedicating a worship very particular to the buffaloes. Most brilliant is the voyage to go to Mettupalayam with this small very picturesque steam train, Nilgiri Mountain Railway, classified with the world heritage of UNESCO.
