Onomasiology
see also: Etymology of Onomasiology
The onomasiology belongs to the Lexicologie. It starts from a concept (an idea) and studies its designations (words). The opposite approach is the Sémasiologie. Some do not regard the onomasiology as restricted with the words, but include grammar and the pragmatic one there.
