Summary

Working for Fedex, Chuck Noland is victim of an air crash. It is found on a deserted island, in the Pacific Ocean. To survive, it will have to learn how to set out again of zero as with the Stone Age, while being helped sometimes of parcels intended for other people whom the sea will reject. An object makes it possible Chuck Noland to preserve its mental health, it acts of a stained balloon of its blood which it has fore-mentioned Wilson. After having spent 4 years on this island, helped by an object which it will use like veil, it will succeed in manufacturing a boat of fortune with which it will launch out in the ocean. By chance it will meet a boat which finally will bring back it at his place or it realizes that his/her boyfriend remade her life with another man…

• This film is regarded per many criticisms as an enormous soporific spot of publicity for Fedex, conveying rival of DHL. But he is also appreciated for a reflection, though without scale, on the loneliness which with the claim to compete with the novel Robinson Crusoe of Daniel Defoe which would have inspired the scenario.
