Onimar Synn

Onimar Synn is an Super-unpleasant of the universe of cd. Comics. Created by David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns, it appears for the first time in JSA n° 23 in June 2001.

History

Being, according to the rumor one of the seven legendary devils of Thanagar, a race of demons which badgers planet since its birth, Onymar Synn tried to seize its world and to nourish hearts of its population. Onimar controls the inhabitants with the Nième metal, a findable element only on Thanagar. It killed some out of the thousands, repaissant their alive hearts and transforming them an army of deaths.

To save the remainder of their people, the large priests of Thanagar removed Kendra Saunders, the heroin Hawkgirl, which could call Carter Hall (Hawkman) among deaths thanks to their divine bond. Kendra succeeds but one needed the combined power of Hawkman and JSA to stop the devastations of the alive dead warriors of Synn.

Omar Synn was apparently destroyed by the ancestral love of Hawkman and Hawkgirl but reappeared at the time the war opposing Rann and Thanagar (Rann-Thanagar War)
