One day in New York ( One the Town ) is a American Musical film of Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly, turned in 1949 with the cinema.
Synopsis
Three marine S of the Navy, Gabey (Gene Kelly), Chip (Frank Sinatra) and Ozzie (Jules Munshin), are found with New York for one day of permission. They have 24 hours to make it tower of the city and hope well to make them profitable to make meetings. They become acquainted initially with conducting of taxi, Brunhilde Esterhazy (Betty Garrett and of Claire Huddesen (Ann Miller), coed in history. Gabey, which briefly met Ivy Smith (Vera-Ellen), the “Miss Subway” of the moment and fell in love, involves from there its two accomplices and the two young women in an unrestrained race through the city in order to find it.
