One Sunday with Kigali

One Sunday with Kigali is a Film of Robert Favreau produces in 2006. The film is the adaptation to the screen of the novel One Sunday with the swimming pool with Kigali of the journalist and Québécois writer Gil Courtemanche.

Synopsis

The action proceeds with Kigali with the Rwanda in spring 1994. The Québécois journalist Bernard Valcourt who carries out a report on the AIDS, attends the increasing tensions between the communities Hutus and Tutsis. Placed with the Hotel of the Miles Hills, it éprend of Nice which works there as waitress. Beginning after the beginning from the genocide and their separation, the account leads the spectator to follow the search of Valcourt to find Gentille. In the form of flashbacks, one discovers their history. Valcourt sought means of saving it genocide. It could not marry Gentille so that it profits from diplomatic protection. Before having to leave the country, Valcourt seeks it in their mutual friends, in his family and various devastated places.
