One Of the Directions

The One Of the Directions is a multicultural festival created and organized by students of INSA of Rennes. He addresses himself to all the public ones, for the young people like young people. The idea is to exploit many interpretations of the word “direction” to each edition of the festival. One of the Directions leaves a total freedom as for the forms of art and expression, the goal being to propose rich and diversified programming.

Edition 2005

For its first edition, one of the Directions explored our 5 directions.

Edition 2006

At the time of this year 2006, the festival was placed under the sign of the Prohibited Sens . It was held over one week in Rennes, from March 13rd to 17th, on the Campus of Beaulieu and in the center of Rennes. The programming included/understood inter alia a meal in the black, several original plays and of the performances of artist, always around the set of themes of the Prohibited Sens .

By the word game of the name of the festival and the topic of the interdict, the majority of the artists introduced an erotic work or rascal, exploiting the direction " interdit" love. Other work was very different: the Italian clowns of the Tony Clifton Circus realized, in an amphitheater of course, which the parents prohibit with their children, like cutting a teddy bear to the slicer; Beautiful Disorder, with Martine and the Machines , presented with black humor a company where the opinion would be a prohibited direction…

The festival did not have the hoped multitude, in spite of a merry demonstration and without reason as a happening in the center of Rennes. The events organized with the Campus of Beaulieu were especially followed by the students who lived on the spot.
