One Nation Under has Groove

One Nation Under has Groove is the tenth album of Funkadelic left to Warner Bros in 1978, remasterized in 2002 at Priority Records.

One Nation Under has Groove is the album more known and recognized American group. He is regarded one of the best albums of all times, and as one of most influential of the Années 1970. He mixes the styles: Funk of course, but also Rock'n'roll, Drunk and Rhythm and blues.

It was the first which exploited the clavierist (and regular type-setter) Junnie Morrison. This album marks also the apogee of the evolution of the young person Michael Hampton, then 17 years age, successor of Eddie Hazel at the station of Guitariste, as a Master of his instrument.

One Nation Under has Groove , like much albums of Funkadelic, is an album concept. In fact, this one milked of this capacity which has the funk to open the spirits, to make dance people and to make them happy. These doctrines pro-funk were already defended in the preceding albums, like the Free Your Mind… And Your Ass Will Follow .

Its evocative, usual title of the titles of album of the group of George Clinton, (cf the list of the albums of Funkadelic on the article dedicated to the group), is drawn from the famous Pledge off Allegiance American, which is an oath recited in particular by the American schoolboys. Moreover, one of the songs of the album, Grooveallegiance , begins again clearly celebrates it off sentence of the Pledge Allegiance by parodying it with the sauce Funkadelic: Pledge has groovallegiance to the funk, the United Funk off Funkadelica…
