One Jerusalem
One Jerusalem is an organization which gave itself the mission “ of maintaining Jerusalem unified like indivisible capital of Israel ”. It was founded in response to the Accords of Oslo and, more precisely, to the negotiations around a possible Palestinian sovereignty on the Mont of the Temple to Jerusalem. It proposes the fact that the Juifs did not have any more access to their holy places for the period of domination Jordan nne on the Old city of Jerusalem (some were transformed besides into dumps) until in 1967, while Israeli sovereignty will have given access of the three great religions their holy places.
The organization, chaired by the former Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky, is entirely financed by private funds. It also gives itself for objective to educate the personalities elected in Israel and in the democratic countries , in the direction of one support for Israeli sovereignty on the entirety of the city.
In January 2000, a demonstration, organized by One Jerusalem to protest against the proposals made to the Palestinians, gathered tens of thousands of people (100.000 (CNN- January 8th, 2001) or 400.000 (One Jerusalem) according to different sources).
