Ondaine
The Ondaine is a Rivière of France, affluent of the the Loire. It takes its source in the wood of Neyranche with Planfoy, where it bears the name of the Ondenon . It is while crossing the city of Ricamarie that it takes the name of Ondaine. Its basin covers 125 km ² distributed mainly in the department of the the Loire, but also partly that of the Haute-Loire.
It belongs to the rivers of the ligériennes development by " Contracts of rivière" who are supported by the general advice of the Loire, the Région the Rhone-Alps, the Agencies of Water, and the State.
True sewer with open sky jusquà the end of the year 1990, it lodges today fish species like the trout fario, minnow, the pin, the chub, the frank loach, the chevaine or the pole.
It crosses or skirts, in the order, the following communes:
- Planfoy
- Saint-Genest-Malifaux
- Ricamarie
- Chambon-Feugerolles
- Firminy
- Strawberries
- Saint-Paul-in-Cornillon
- Unieux, where it is thrown in the Loire in Pertuiset

The June 5th 2007, important believed of Ondaine and small affluents located upstream, caused by important storms, flooded part of the city of the Chambon-Feugerolles and caused many damage but any victim. In spite of the fast character of raw (approximately half an hour), water is assembled until 1,7m in certain dwellings. The services weather had not however raised any alarm.
