The Onas is a Stratovolcan of Argentine, considered as extinct. It is located in the province of Catamarca, with the latitude of 25° 26′ 45" south and with the longitude of 68° 00′ 09" west. It belongs to the group of Argentinian volcanos constituting the solid mass of the Antofalla, and is in the North-West of this last, near to the Ojo de Antofalla.
It is drawn up very near, to approximately 7 km in the east of the Ojo de Antofalla. It is slightly higher in altitude than this last, which is normal in measurement or Ojo de Antofalla partially crumbled.
The Onas volcano is located at more or less 20 kilometers in the North-West of the crater of the volcano Antofalla, and with about fifteen kilometers in the north of the volcano Lila.
Other tops are close also to Ojo de Antofalla. One finds with a good score kilometers in the North-West, the Large Abra, as well as the close Pajonal. Other side it is distant Conito de Antofalla of 20 kilometers, in direction of the east-south-east.
