On the trace of Igor Rizzi is a Canadian feature-length film in French language of No5el Mitrani, turned to the Quebec in 2006.

Produced by its author-realizer, this film was an international critical success and was greeted like one of the outstanding independent films of the year 2006. The French version subtitled in English is distributed to the Canada and the the United States under the title One The Trail Of Igor Rizzi . North-American exit of DVD on November 6th 2007.

Synopsis

Old a footballer French ruined lost his wife of Québécois origin. Installed in Montreal in the hope to feel its presence, he regrets not to have said to him to which point he liked it. Its mood declines at the point to agree to cut down certain Igor Rizzi…

The car, a model Oldsmobile Cutlass 1981, was saved breakage and was the subject of an important repair because its color pale blue as the ice made it invaluable for the winter decoration of film.

Comment

  • On the trace of Igor Rizzi is a reflection on the remord and the escape of time. The character, who very lost after having known glory and the facility, is with the catches with his regrets. To overcome its mourning, it must find the answer in itself, give a progress report on its past and achieve a moral search. The strange decoration of Montreal under snow is used to amplify the feelings of distress felt by the character, but also with exalter the poetry of the life.
