Omonville-la-Rogue

Omonville-la-Rogue is a common department of the Manche, in the area Basse-Normandie, in France. It is located more particularly in the peninsula of the La Hague
Its inhabitants is called the Omonvillais .

- the Gothic church of XIIIe century restored thereafter with the XVIIIe century. At side is the Beautiful-Guard, a firm-manor dating from the same time which belonged to the Three Great properties with the Spine of Hoots and the manor of Tourp.
- a set up cross of 1257 shows the way of the manor of the Spine of Hoots and the Farm of the Tourp.
- the port of Hâble, placed here by the Gallo-Romans and protected by a dam, makes the importance of the village.
- Firm of Cotentine. Ruins of a large farm on the “way of the customs officers”, consolidated by the Conservatory of the littoral.
- the careers of Omonville produce a granitic stone very much used in the construction of the monuments and farms of La Hague.

- the farm of Tourp was restored before the year 2000 and accommodates from now on exposures, the Tourist bureau of La Hague, and a resource center and of documentation on La Hague.
- In 1978, Roman Polanski had chosen the moors of Omonville and the farm of Tourp like decorations of its film Tess
- In 1983, certain scenes of the telefilm a good Little devil were turned there
- In 2005, Florence Moncorgé-Gabin turned some scenes of its film there, the Passenger of the summer.
