Omnius is a fictitious character of the Cycle of Dune, discovered in the series preceding the initial cycle by Dune , written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
Omnius is the data-processing suresprit reigning, thanks to the allegiance of the thinking machines, on the Synchronized Mondes. By means of the Titans such as Agamemnon, of the cymeks and others robots like Seurat and Érasme, it tries to exterminate humanity. It will be overcome during the Jihad Butlérien by the human free ones.
It appears in the Hunters of Dune , making following the House of the Mothers and written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, that the Enemy with the cases of the Honorées Matriarches returned with the Grande Dispersion, and threatening Humanity, would be a copy of Omnius having succeeded with escaped with the Jihad Butlérien while being established by means of probe of help out of old Empire of Humanity.
