The omniscience comes in fact from the Latin and means: “which knows all”.
Concept of analysis literary
Within the framework of the literary techniques, that means that the reader knows absolutely all since the Narrateur gives him access to the thoughts like to passed and with the future of each character. The narrator thus could be compared with “God” in his work. One also calls this literary technique “focusing zero”
Omniscience in the literature
In Greek mythology, Tantale offered his/her son in meal to the gods to test their omniscience.
