Omessa is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Corse and the Corsica area . Omessa is located in the pieve of Talcinu/Talcini of which it was a long time capital before being supplanted by the town of Corti.

In Omessa, Mgr Ambrusgiu made transform U Rione (old old people's home fortress) into the church Sant' Andria (devoted in 1460) which shelters the tomb of the three Colonna prelates.
