PresentationOmegames is a company francilienne created in 2006 and specialized in the creation of casual-ranges (translate, occasional plays) to the contents various and directed towards Internet. This company was rested by Alain Truffier, Sebastien Anchat, 2 former executives of a software firm, and Maxime Dehaye studied, on January 31st, 2006.
A community of more than 150.000 players make this company a rising value of the plays on Internet. Apart from the plays of simulation or breeding, Omegames proposes plays at strong potential of contents.
HistoryOmegames becomes officially a company in January 2006. However Omegames existed well before that and represented the group of developer and artists amateurs who met around a project of the name of " Gaïa" project; writing and conceptualized by Alain Truffier.
The Gaïa project began really in September 2004 by presenting a concept, an idea of the play to a graphic designer, Romain Lefevre. This one interested to take part voluntarily in the creation of a video game started to create many tests, environments and characters of the play.
The quality of graphics quickly made it possible more clearly to present the idea of the concept to the voluntary futures which took part of their to better develop together a demonstration of play vidéo.
The association of emergance of video game inhabitant of Lille, Futurn, allowed to consolidate Alain Truffier in the development of the demonstration of the Gaïa project and on the creation of a company of play vidéo.
The Gaïa project used an engine of new generation called KJapi and was replaced by the Torque engine initially, then the development team decided to use the engine of returned Ogre 3D to create the virtual world of the play. In June 2005 Alain Truffier met Maxime Dehaye who had just put on line his play Adelian.
Interested by the ideas of evolutions that Alain Truffier had for his play, Maxime Dehaye decided to modify and leave a new version his play. Success came to go thanks to the chart of adventure, with the mini-searches and to new graphics of the play, a community of more than 40.000 players regularly came to play Adelian and already the idea of a play on the topic of the Lost series germinated in the spirit of Maxime Dehaye.
In front of the new success of Adelian, Maxime and Alain decided to link their talents and started to imply themselves in the creation of the company Omegames.
In November 2005 the Gaïa project stopped but the team of more than 30 people who composed this project contained already the future employees of the company which was to create later a few months.
Thus Stephan Hanser was engaged at Omegames as a project manager, Laurent Niasme carried out her studies in alternation under contract with the company, Romain Lefevre was engaged as graphic designer. Of another people thus supplemented the development team who were to create either plays 3D for PC/consoles, but of the plays for Internet conceptualized by Alain Truffier and Maxime Dehaye.
650km.com V1 was developed by the company Blinding Light and the graphic design was created by Melanie Buffière, graphic designer indépendante.
Their success begins as of the following day from creation from the company with the exit from 650km.com on February 1st, 2006.
650km.com is the play of reference of the Omegames company which currently develops a version improved of their Hit, with a community of more than 130.000 players to the first quarter 2007.
