Omega red

Omega Red is super-unpleasant created by Marvel Comics (Jim Lee and John Byrne), appeared for the first time in X-Men v2 #4 , in 1992.

It is an enemy of the X-Men, in particular of Wolverine.

Origins

One knows very few things about the past of Arkady Rossovitch, except that it is a Russian serial killer, captured by Hurleur, at the time agent of Interpol, and delivered to the KGB, which wanted to make a super-soldier of it, like Captain America.

Arcady is mutant, which was improved genetically. It is known that he a long time sought to find Wolverine, Dents of Saber and Maverick, the three men which had subtilized a synthetizer of carbonadium at the time of their last joint mission, at the end of the Sixties. Another time, it was overcome by Daredevil and the Black Veuve, in an attempted murder.

It was employed later by the Russian gangster Ivan Pushkin, to propagate a war between HYDRA and A.I.M..

More recently, he worked for a dealer called the General. He was recruited by Dents of Saber, at the same time as Lady Deathstrike, to tackle the relations of Wolverine. In exchange, Creed had promised to him to provide him all information on all the mutants of planet. But Creed betrays it as soon as it had put the hand on Logan.

Finally, Omega Red found a means of controlling the capacity which killed it. He became godfather of the crime, with the head of the Red Maffia, and has a public identity of sizeable business man, like Wilson Fisk in the USA. He seems to have lost his rancour and his interest towards Wolverine and seeks from now on to make fortune.

Capacities

Omega Red has an endurance and a force higher than those of a normal human being. Its resistance to the pain is incredible. Its skin is very hard and its bones are covered with carbonadium, which allows him résiter in a certain manner to the attacks carried by Wolverine.
