After Oltcit
After Oltcit , the site of Craiova tied a partnership with the Korean firm Daewoo. In 1994, it is renamed Daewoo Automobile Romania'; in 1996 the manufacture of the Tico, Cielo and Espero are launched. The following year, a new factory of mechanics (engines and transmissions) starts production. In 2001, the Matiz and the Nubira II follow.
