OllyDbg
OllyDbg is a free Débogueur 32-bits, created by Oleh Yuschuk with the end of the year 2000, for the operating system Windows of Microsoft. This software can analyze and déboguer only the programs 32-bits meeting the standard Achievable Portable .
This debugger is equipped with a module of recursive dismantling with an analysis of the code disassembled a contrario of debuggers which use a module of dismantling to static sweeping where the code assembler is disassembled without the context of this last being analyzed.
This module of dismantling supports all the instructions processors X86, Pentium, FPU, MX, 3DNow!, as well as the extensions for processors Athlon, the instructions SE and formats of given correspondent to these last. OllyDbg does not support the higher instructions SE and extensions (SE and SSSE3).
OllyDbg lays out in a basic way of the functionalities usually seen on the other debuggers such as the single stepping, the installation of stagnation points ( Breakpoints ) conditioned or not, the trace of code, the monitoring or the modification of various objects (memory, registers, code, etc).
The functionalities of OllyDbg can be increased thanks to a system of plug-ins in order to extend the capacities from them. And there are also a great movement of translation of the interface and even a translation of the help file of French OllyDgb by amateurs.
Principal window
The principal window of OllyDbg breaks up into 4 major parts, respectively from top to bottom and from left to right:
-
the window of code with from left to right: addresses, opcodes, disassembled code, comments and indications.
- the window of the registers with from top to bottom: registers whole, EFLAGS and segments, FPU, control and statute FPU.
- the window known as of dump allowing a visual and easy access to the memory - generally data - of a process.
- the window of pile ( stack ).
