Olivier de Coëtivy

Olivier de Coëtivy , born in 1418, died in 1480. French soldier. To advise and Chamberlain Charles VII of France. Brother of Prigent de Coëtivy and the cardinal Alain de Coëtivy, bishop of Uzès.

In 1450, he became the tutor of the three girls of Charles VII and Agnès Sorel, Jeanne, Marie and Charlotte de Valois.

After the reconquest of the Aquitanian by the French Army in 1451, Charles VII names Olivier de Coëtivy Sénéchal of Guyenne. The October 23rd 1452, Olivier de Coëtivy betrayed by Arnaud of Nozzle is captured and taken along in England during the resumption of Bordeaux by the English. It is released only after the last payment of the ransom in 1458.

The December 27th 1458, it marries Marie de France (1444-1473).
