Olivier Poncet

Olivier Poncet is a French historian, born the May 2nd 1969

Biography

Left major the National school of the charters in 1993 with a thesis dedicated to Pomponne de Bellièvre, Olivier Poncet is member of the French École of Rome (1995-1998) and doctor of history of the university of Paris-Sorbonne (1998).

Initially preserving of the inheritance, he works with the Departmental records of the Pas-de-Calais (1994-1995) then to the Public records (2000-2004).

In 2004, it is named professor with the pulpit “institutions, files, diplomatic of the modern period” of the School of the charters. He also taught with the École of the high studies in social sciences (2004-2006).

He particularly studies the institutions of France and papacy at the time modern, as well as the history of the archivistique one. He is the author of very many scientific articles and communications with conferences.
