Olivier Merlin
Olivier Merlin (born May 1907 and deceased the April 14th 2005 with Paris).
After a lawyer career, Olivier Merlin quickly directed himself towards journalism. He was writer at Time, then sports editor in the World of 1945 to 1985, and editor association of Paris Match of 1954 to 1974. He published many works in particular around the Sport and reporting the memories richest colors of multiple practices which he practiced since his Parisian adolescence. A heat attested by the innumerable articles published under its signature at the time of the greatest competitions: Winter Olympics and summer, automobile Grands Prix, matches of boxing, tennis tournaments, cuts Davis, bullfighting… Olivier Merlin incarnates the example of the sportsman in great condition which no athletic performance leaves indifferent: a wise, generous man, in love with the life and humanistic writer.
