Olivier Salon is a mathematician and French writer, member of the Oulipo, born in 1955. Mathematics professor with the college of the Park of the Cabins with Évry, it taught with ENS Cachan. After having supported a thesis in Theory of the numbers to Bordeaux, under the title " Automats multidimensionnels". It was interested in the Théorème of Prouhet-Tarry-Escott: how to distribute the 2 power N whole first in two units of numbers having even nap, even nap of squares, even nap of cube,…, even nap of the powers (n-1)? The Suite of Thue-Morse plays a great part in this problem raised in 1851 by the mathematician Prouhet.
It was invited in 1999 by Jacques Roubaud with a working session of Oulipo, and became member in 2000.
Olivier Salon is in addition pianist and actor. He is one of the actors of the part Spare parts of Oulipo, put in scene of Michel Abecassis, presented, inter alia, with the Théâtre of the Roundabout of the Fields-Elysées in 2006.
