Olivier Daviaud

Olivier Daviaud , known as the Bird, is a Pianiste, Violoncelliste and Compositeur French born with Suresnes on August 3rd 1971.

Biography

In 1977 it takes its first courses of piano with which it associates the violoncello very quickly.

In 1987 it enters to the Academies of Boulogne and Paris, obtains there the prices of Orchestration, musical Analyze and musical Formation, as well as a License of musicology to the Université Paris Iv-Sorbonne.

In parallel, it composes its first parts of Chamber music and Orchestre, and creates with Guillaume Connesson and Stéphan Aubé the unit “Music in Life”, interpreting works of French type-setters of the 20th century having kept a bond with the tonal Système (of Milhaud to Jolivet while passing by Dutilleux or Landowski).

In 1997 it operates a radical artistic turn, turning to the popular song of quality. It occurs on scene with the Piano or the Violoncelle, accompanying inter alia the singers Polo, Néry, Bénabar, Jacques Higelin and Bertrand Belin. Eclectic and very imaginative musician, it collaborated to date in an about sixty discs, in turn like Réalisateur, Compositeur, Arrangeur, or simple Instrumentiste.

One owes him in particular these two last years arrangements of the album the Woman Chocolate of Olivia Ruiz, and part of those of the last albums of Jacques Higelin, Amor Doloroso , Bénabar, Resumption of negotiations , Abd Al Malik, Gibraltar , and Emily Loizeau, the other End of the World , all at the same time greeted by the critic and meeting many people.

In 2007 it takes part as pianist and violoncellist in the last creation of the choreographer Philippe Decouflé, Sombrero , and composes with the invitation of Mathias Malzieu very cinematographic arrangements of mechanics of the heart , last production of the group Dionysos.

It has receives at the time of the International festival of Film of Animation of Annecy the 2007 price SACEM for the music of the Short film the Man of the Moon of Serge Elissalde.
