Olgierd Zienkiewicz
Olgierd (Olek) Cecil Zienkiewicz , (born the May 18th 1921 with Caterham Surrey, England) is regarded as the " father of the Finite element method ". Its first article goes back to 1947 and since 1968 it created International Newspaper off Numerical Methods in Engineering which remains one of the most important reviews in the field of numerical mechanics.
