Oleguer Pressed

Oleguer Pressed , born the February 2nd 1980 with Sabadell, is a Football Spanish or which evolves/moves at the station of right back.

Biography

Oleguer played successively Lepante, San Gabriel and Gramenet before arriving at FC Barcelona at the time of the season 2001-2002. Its current contract with Barcelona runs until 2008.

Oleguer refused by twice the Spanish selection, being arranged with the selector not to be taken, because he says himself Catalan and does not feel concerned by a Spanish selection. It on the other hand took part in several matches with the Catalan selection.

Profile

Oleguer is a steady and sober defender. That it is used on the right-sided or in the center of defense, it shows a good play of head and great aptitudes for marking of the unfavourable attackers.

Political opinions

Oleguer studied the economic scenes at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and does not hesitate to intervene in several political debates. Favorable to the independence of the Catalonia and the Catalan sporting selections, some of its standpoint were somewhat discussed in Spain. Oleguer recently wrote an article published in the Basque newspaper Berria questioning the independence of the powers judicial and political and wondering about the rule of the law in Spain. This article was worth to him to lose a contract of mixed liability company with the Kelme company.

Oleguer published in 2006 one entitled book Camí d' Itaca , in which it presents its reflections on subjects as varied as its triumph in Liga and Ligue of the Champions as well as the fight against Francoism and Fascism.
