Career
American Wrestling Association
Anderson began wrestling in 1967 with the American Wrestling Association (AWA) as a Rock Rogovski , where it held titles AWA Midwest Heavyweight and AWA Midwest Tag TEAM.
National Wrestling Alliance
It was being gone from there to work with the National Wrestling Alliance - in promotions like the Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP, apart from Charlotte, North Carolina) and Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW), where it adopted the name of boxing ring Ole Anderson , and became a memebre of the legendary team Minnesota Wrecking Crew with its " frère" Gene Anderson after Lars Anderson left the team at the end of the Sixties. The team of Ole & Gene became synonymous with wrestling by team with the JCP and GCW during several years.Anderson competed with stars like Mr. Wrestling & Mr. Wrestling II, Wahoo McDaniel, Jack Brisco, Jerry Brisco, Tommy Rich, Johnny Weaver, Dino Bravo, Paul Jones, Ric Flair, Greg Valentine, Ricky Steamboat, Rufus R. Jones, The Mongolian, and Thunderbolt Patterson in the Seventies and at the beginning of 80.
In the slides, Anderson was also the script writer number one of the GCW and also dealt with the JCP in 1981-82. For a certain time it dealt with both different federation, thus being able to often combine both rosters to give the best of than it was done in the business at the time. It left later the JCP to become full-time script writer and all-in wrestler with the GCW.
When the owners Jack and Jerry Brisco sold their federation with Vince McMahon, Anderson resisted the change, and united its forces with the promoters of long time of the NWA, Fred Ward and Ralph Freed to launch a new federation entitled Championship Wrestling from Georgia.
Equip with Arn Anderson
In April 1985, the Jim Crockett Promotions and Championship Wrestling from Georgia joined. Anderson made team with Thunderbolt Patterson with the CWG whereas Marty Lunde began with the JCP as a Arn Anderson. This appeared natural to associate both " Anderson" together. Anderson was turned over soon against Thunderbolt and made team with Arn in the Minnesota Wrecking Crew.
The Horsemen Furnace
In 1986, Anderson belonged to the original gang of the Four Horsemen, a clan heel, with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and their manager James J. Dillon. During its passage in Horsemen, Anderson competed with Magnum T.A., Dusty Rhodos, The Rock 'NR Roll Express and the Road Warriors. Anderson was returned later of the clan to be replaced by Lex Luger beginning 1987.Anderson was withdrawn in 1988, when his/her Brian son, began his career in the fight amateur. Brian fought later with WCW as a Bryant Anderson.
World Championship Wrestling
Anderson turned over to wrestling to the WCW in 1989 to reform the Horsemen Furnace with Flair, Arn and Sting. They returned Sting of the clan quickly, and Anderson was withdrawn again to become the manager of Horsemen, which since counted in their manpower Barry Windham and Sid Vicious. In 1990, Anderson was chooses to take the head of the committee of script of the WCW, which at this time started little by little to separate from name NWA in its televised programs. Appearing in the Pay-per-view S (PPVs) of the WCW under its real name, Anderson responsible for part of the bad ideas was tested by the WCW. One of these creations was The Black Scorpion, which was a punishment coming from passed from Sting. After several appearances, the identity of the Scorpion finally proved to be Ric Flair, to confuse Sting and to force it to give up WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Dismissal
When Eric Bischoff took the control of the WCW in 1993, Anderson and its son were returned by Bischoff.
Reprocess
For this time, Ole has remained apart from the businesses, but wrote one entitled book “ Inside Out” . It attracted itself the lightnings of his former friend and partner Ric Flair by criticizing the fact that Flair catchait the same match during several years.
