Old man-Port of the La Rochelle

The Old man-Port of La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime, France) is the historical port of the city. The two medieval turns which keep the entry of it universally returned celebrates.
It is thanks to this port that La Rochelle took importance during the Guerre One hundred Year old, then with the discovery of the America.
At the 17th century and the 18th century, the Old man-Port of the La Rochelle drained more half of the colonial traffic towards the News-France, which makes today of it a place of Pèlerinage for many tourists.
The Old man-Port is composed of three offering basins 18 wharves and 320 places (including 70 for the visitors):
- the basin of the harbor of stranding: 4 wharves, 115 places (including 40 for the visitors), sites dredged with -1 meter, maximum length of 12 meters;
- the old basin of the trawlers: reception of the ships of great pleasure, 17 to 90 meters, width up to 16 meters, maximum draft of 5 meters out of 4 wharves;
- the basin of the yachts: 5 wharves, 90 places, draft of 4 meters, maximum length of 14 meters, width maximum of 12 meters, with a threshold at entry 1 measures.
The channel of access to the Old man-Port is dredged at coast -0,50 measures since the Tour Richelieu.
