Geography
Old man-Inhabitants is located in the west of the island of Low-Ground in lee shore.
The commune is crossed north in the south by the trunk road 2.
Its northern limit with Bouillante is the Renoir gully and the Handle with the Boat.
Its western limit is consisted the crètes.
History
It is the oldest parish, founded in 1636, and thus commune of Guadeloupe. Its historical name was then Habitants.
The commune is intialement a famous agricultural commune for its coffee, its vanilla and more generally the creole gardens.
