Old Bailey

The central criminal Court in England, commonly called Old Bailey (a bailey being part of a castle), is a central Court of the British Couronne (criminal High court). It treats the principal criminal cases of the Large London, and exceptionally of other parts of the England. It is in the street éponyme, on the medieval site of the Prison of Newgate which is located between the circus of Holborn and the cathedral Saint-Paul.
