Olca

The Olca is a Stratovolcan at the border between the Chile and the Bolivia. It is in the center of a 15 km long chain long, made up of several stratovolcanoes. The Cerro Minchincha is with the west, and the Paruma in the east. It is also near the Cerro Paruma which dates from the pre Holocène. Its composition is Andésitique and Dacitique, with lava flows which extend on several kilometers in north from the top. Only the activity of the chain during our era, was an eruption of 1865 with 1867. The exact source of this eruption was not clearly defined.
