Olécrane

Olécrane or olécrâne , of the Greek ωλέκρανον (ôlécranon), end of the elbow. Épiphyse (osseous end) of the ulna (bone constituting the front armlever with the radius) forming a projection on the level of the elbow. The olécrane is connected to the Tendon tricipital.

Fractures

The fractures occur during a direct shock on the elbow or during an indirect traumatism, like a Luxation of the elbow.

The olécrane can then move, attracted by the tendon tricipital. The extension of the elbow is impossible. A precise pain is felt on this level and palpation can mobilize the fragment.
