Oissel is a common French, located in the department of the Seine-Maritime and the area High-Normandy.
Geography
Located at 15 km of Rouen, at the limit of the agglomeration rouennaise.
History
The Viking S install one of their four camps strengthened in the island of Oissel.

The Commune of Oissel is the site, since 2005, of a Retention center administrative (CRA) ability to lock up families, for their expulsion of the French territory. The Foreigners in irregular situation which are interned there come from an area rather broad energy of the Normandy to the Picardy, even of the Paris region.This establishment gave place to protests and manifestations of the Network Education without borders (RESF). A protest demonstration took place on February 3rd, 2007 before this institution.
