Oin-Oin

Oin-Oin is the Figure of many funny stories circulating in French-speaking Switzerland, in particular in the canton of Vaud.

The character

As of 1958, Oin-Oin was incarnated with the Radio French-speaking Switzerland by Claude Blanc, Emile Gardaz which incarnates his alter ego Milliquet. The character in addition was the subject of several livres.
In France, this character was interpreted in some sketches on television by Antoine de Caunes, in the emission of Canal+ Nowhere elsewhere .

The character of Oin-Oin has as a model Amédée-Célestin Rossillon, wire of Jacques and Joséphine Burdallet, a Ouvrier born in 1852 with Carouge (Geneva), left to work like Horloger with La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1878, in various companies.
