Ohio Valley Wrestling

The Ohio Valley Wrestling ( OVW ) is an independent federation American located at Louisville, Kentucky. The OVW is especially recognized to be used as terain of primary education drive to the all-in wrestlers of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The OVW is directed by its owner Danny Davis and the organization was old a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (under the name NWA Ohio Valley Championship Wrestling ) of 1998 up to 2000, when the OVW became part of the development program of the WWE. Jim Cornette was the script writer as a chief of the OVW during a time before to be transfered by the WWE to have given a snap to a student. He was replaced by Paul Heyman which dealt with the OVW until he has to become the scripetur division ECW. Greg Gagne was supposed to become script writer after Heyman but its knowledge of the OVW was thus limited the station was shared by Al Snow and Danny Davis.

The all-in wrestlers of the OVW are often used like jobbers, so that the WWE makes its stars better, particularly when the WWE holds of the shows in the area of Louisville. Sometimes the all-in wrestlers of the OVW are called in reinforcements in the shows of the WWE. Among the stars who passed from the OVW to the WWE, a great part of them are heels, and the majority of them (like Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy and Carlito Caribbean Cool) adopt characters of pretentious egoists. Much of them also quickly became popular like old the female Championne Mickie James, old the Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella, old the World Heavyweight Champion Batista, Punk CM and current WWE Champion John Cena.

Television

The OVW diffuses one hour of program per week saturdays on WBKI-TV with the the United States. The shows are recorded Wednesdays evening.
