Ohio State Buckeyes is a club general sports university of the Université of the State of Ohio. The teams of Buckeyes take part in the university competitions organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Ohio State belongs to division Big Ten Conference. The traditional colors of the school are scarlet and the gray and the mascot are Brutus Buckeye.
American football
The most famous team of Buckeyes is that of American football which was created in 1890. Buckeyes count eight national titles (1942, 1944, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 2002 and 2006) and six Heisman Trophy. The competition with the University of Michigan, regarded as one of most important of the American sport, is maintained every year by a match with the important issue.
