Oh! Darling
Oh! Darling is a song of the British group The Beatles composed by Paul McCartney (but credited Lennon/McCartney). It appears on the album Abbey Road left in 1969.
Composition
Oh Darling! is a song without claim, written by Paul McCartney with the manner of trott rock'n'roll of the end of the Années 1950, which begs liked to remain while affirming “Believe me, I will never be made evil, if you me leashes, I do not arrive there only” and while howling “When you said to me that you did not require more for me, I collapsed, I cried, I almost died”. Recording
When the group recorded Oh! Darling , Paul McCartney came to the studio very early the every day during one week to sing it, because at the beginning its voice sounded too much “dry”. He wanted that its voice gives the impression which he had sung on scene for one week. He thus started again tens of time before obtaining a satisfactory result, in particular on the bridge of the song (“ When you told me you didn' T need me anymore… ”) where he howls literally.The first catches of the song were carried out as early as on April 20th, 1969, but it was supplemented with many Overdub S during the recording itself of Abbey Road in July and until August 11th, 1969.
