Ogre 3D

Ogre 3D ( Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine ) is a Moteur 3D Open Source directed scene which makes it possible starting from objects facets to carry out a three-dimensional environment which will be perceived by one made two-dimensional through a virtual camera. Ogre 3D is an additional layer of abstraction to the top of the APIs Direct3D and OpenGL, which allows the use of the accelerating charts 3D (Ogre 3D does not provide an engine of returned 3D software, one needs a chart 3D or an emulator of charts 3D).
To program with Ogre 3D
Ogre 3D is programmed in high level C++ (STL, Threads, Doxygen, and Handbook). He can be used other languages since: C#, Python, LUA.Ogre 3D simplifies largely the creation of Programs 3D real-time, in particular by providing high level interfaces for the animation of characters, of effects of treatment full-screen (bloom, HDR, etc…), of scripts for the particles, materials.
Extensions provided by the community
To that a community is added who provides the many ones more allowing integration of physical engines, of special effects, more advanced managers of scenes like one of many source codes usable (video player, integration of webcam, etc…).
